Ribbon Cutting Marks a New Era for Arrupe Jesuit High School

On September 22, 2026, we joined the Arrupe Jesuit High School community to celebrate the ribbon cutting of a project more than three years in the making.

From its start in October 2022, this project presented unique challenges, from a complex rezoning process and navigating urban site constraints to constructing a new gymnasium above an existing building. Yesterday's celebration was a reminder that every challenge was worth it.

Most importantly, we're grateful to the donors, supporters, educators, and school leadership whose investment made this project possible. Their commitment sends a powerful message to every student who walks through these doors: your future is worth investing in.

We're equally inspired by the students themselves, who remained patient, resilient, and optimistic throughout two years of construction. Their determination is reflected in their success. An incredible 95% of Arrupe's 2025 graduating class was first-generation college-bound, a testament to the opportunities being created within this community.

One of our favorite project details honors the school's past while celebrating its future. During demolition, wood planks from the original gym floor were carefully salvaged and reclaimed to create a commemorative sign featuring the Arrupe crest. It's a meaningful reminder that while the campus has been transformed, its history and spirit remain at the heart of the school.
