Healthcare Interior Designer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborative member of a design team, developing innovative interior architecture and interior design solutions
  • Participate with building surveys and documentation, preparation of architectural base plans
  • Research and assist in the selection of finishes, fixtures, color schemes, fabrics and furnishing.
  • Prepare material boards, design renderings and presentations.
  • Works with design team to develop design concepts, furniture plans, finish legends and any other necessary design concepts from early programming phase to construction administration
  • Assist or lead in the production of SD, DD and CD level documentation for permitting, bidding and construction.
  • Assist or lead free standing furniture and artwork selection, specifications, procurement, and installation
  • Assist or lead construction phase services (product and submittal review, clarification drawings, site observations)
  • Develop and maintain positive client, consultant, contractor and vendor relationships

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Interior Design degree from a CIDA accredited program
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience, with 3 years in healthcare interior design
  • NCIDQ certification a plus (or willing to become certified)
  • Experienced in all phases of the design and delivery process including programming, space planning, interior architecture detailing, construction documents, and construction phase services
  • Proficient in Revit for commercial architecture, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong 3D modeling, graphics, presentation, and rendering skills utilizing Enscape and Adobe software (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • EDAC, LEAN or other healthcare related accreditations a plus
  • LEED or WELL sustainable design accreditation a plus
